Biology Laboratory

Biology Laboratory

The Biology Laboratory (Basic Biology Lab) at Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan is a learning facility equipped with a diverse collection of animal and plant specimens, as well as supporting equipment related to the study of morphology, anatomy, and physiology. This laboratory serves as a center for student practical activities in directly understanding the structure and function of living organisms, while also serving as a means to support various student academic and research activities in basic and applied biology.

Microbiology Laboratory

Microbiology Laboratory

The Microbiology Laboratory at Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan is a supporting facility for education and research focused on the study of microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses. The laboratory is equipped with equipment and culture media to support practical activities, research, and microbiological testing, including microbial isolation, identification, and characterization. In addition to supporting students' understanding of the basic concepts and applications of microbiology, the laboratory also serves as a platform for developing practical skills and innovation in environmental, food, health, and agricultural microbiology.

Chemistry Laboratory

Chemistry Laboratory

The Chemistry Laboratory at the University of Muhammadiyah Lamongan is a supporting facility for the Biology Study Program and is used for practical activities in Basic Chemistry and Biochemistry. This laboratory is equipped with basic equipment and chemical instruments that enable students to study chemical principles, chemical reactions, and the structure and function of biomolecules in a practical manner. Through practical work in this laboratory, students can develop conceptual understanding and analytical skills in studying the chemical processes underlying biological systems, thereby strengthening the integration between chemistry and biology in a scientific and applied context.

Experimental Animal Laboratory

Experimental Animal Laboratory

The Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan's Animal Experiment Laboratory is a facility used to support learning and research in biology, particularly those related to the use of experimental animals. The laboratory is designed in accordance with ethical principles and safety standards for the care and treatment of experimental animals such as mice and rats. This facility allows students and researchers to conduct controlled physiological, toxicological, pharmacological, and biomedical studies, while also practicing practical skills in animal-based biological observation, treatment, and analysis.

Instrumentation Laboratory

Instrumentation Laboratory

The Instrumentation Laboratory at Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan is a supporting facility equipped with various modern analytical equipment such as spectrophotometers, centrifuges, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and other instruments. This laboratory functions to support advanced practicum activities and research by students and lecturers, particularly in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of biological and chemical compounds. The existence of this laboratory allows students to develop skills in using instrumentation tools that play a vital role in the study of biochemistry, microbiology, physiology, and other fields of applied biology.

Natural Laboratory

Natural Laboratory

The Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan's Biology Natural Laboratory is a form of field learning that allows students to conduct practical work and research directly in natural environments related to the subject of biological study. These laboratory activities are carried out in various ecosystem locations such as Sowan Beach in Tuban, Baluran National Park, Dlundung Waterfall, and Turtle Beach in South Malang. Through the Natural Laboratory, students are trained to directly observe, identify, and analyze biodiversity, ecosystem interactions, and other biological phenomena, thereby strengthening conceptual and applied understanding in real-world contexts.
