Lamongan, A proud achievement was achieved by Ghulam Mulham Musyadad, a Biology undergraduate student at the Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan (UMLA), who won first place in the Men's Class B Adult Competition category at the "Indonesia Pencak Silat Paku Bumi Open 14 Championship 2026" International Championship. The championship was held from April 3-5, 2026, at the Lembah Sports Hall, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta.

Ghulam's journey to this achievement began with his determination to discipline himself in Tapak Suci pencak silat training. He continuously strived to hone his skills by studying and perfecting the basic techniques taught by his coaches and teachers. He took each training session seriously in preparation for his best performance in competition. However, Ghulam's tournament journey wasn't entirely smooth sailing. He suffered a leg injury before the match. This was certainly a challenge, but it didn't dampen his enthusiasm to continue competing. Thanks to his determination and tenacity, he overcame the obstacles and ultimately won the gold medal.

"The problem was that I injured my leg before the match. Thankfully, I was still able to use it during the match, so I was still able to excel in the ring," he said.

Ghulam's success in winning the gold medal was not just a result of talent alone, but rather the fruit of years of hard work, discipline, and perseverance. Every training session, every technique refinement, and every battle over injuries were part of the process that shaped his mentality and abilities. This achievement not only brought him pride but also served as an inspiration to his friends, fellow athletes, and the younger generation that with strong determination, patience, and an unyielding spirit, any obstacle can be overcome. Ghulam's story reminds us that every struggle, no matter how small, has value and can pave the way to brilliant success. This achievement also serves as motivation to continue training, learning, and facing the next challenge with confidence.
