Lamongan, December 28, 2025. Another proud achievement was achieved by a student from the University of Muhammadiyah Lamongan (UMLA). David Alfin Arizal won first place in the Team Arts category at the Pasuruan Championship, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia on December 26-28.

This championship was a special moment for David, as it was his second time winning first place in the team arts category. This achievement, achieved alongside two teammates from the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) and Industrial Engineering study programs, demonstrates the strong collaboration between study programs in achieving non-academic achievements. As the Chair of the Biology Student Association (Kahima), David not only achieved personal success but also played a significant role in mentoring and motivating his juniors. Two first-semester students, Alfian and Aqil, under his guidance, achieved success by winning second and third place in the Fighter category, classes D and E.

Initially, Alfian and Aqil were hesitant to compete, as this was their first time competing in the arena, especially facing opponents from major universities. However, thanks to intensive training, moral support, and strong faith, they were able to overcome their feelings of inferiority and perform at their best, reaching the podium. "All of this is God's will. From doubt to finally standing on the podium was a process full of lessons," David expressed with gratitude.

Through this achievement, David hopes the Undergraduate Biology Study Program will continue to produce high-achieving students, both in academic and non-academic fields, and will be able to bring the name of UMLA and the Biology Study Program to national and even international recognition. This achievement is proof that enthusiasm, hard work, and togetherness can produce brilliant results.
