Lamongan. The New Student Admissions (PMB) launch event, combined with the 2025 Education Seminar, was a lively affair on Saturday morning, November 29, 2025. Held at the KH. Hisjam Convention Hall, 10th floor of the UMLA Tower, the event was packed with participants from various schools, from Lamongan, Gresik, and Bojonegoro. Their enthusiasm was palpable from the moment registration opened, creating a warm and eager atmosphere for learning.
Following the seminar series, participants were invited down to the 9th floor, where the Campus Expo and Bazaar were held. All study programs showcased their best profiles, including the Biology Study Program, which had one of the most eye-catching booths.
The Biology booth featured a variety of animal specimens, including monitor lizards, sharks, and snakes, which immediately piqued students' curiosity and led them to a closer look. Furthermore, visitors were also given the opportunity to observe various microscopic slides, complete with explanations on how to use microscopes and information about the lab materials typically used by Biology students.
At this event, the students from HIMABIO appeared united and enthusiastic. They explained specimens, guided students through microscopes, distributed brochures, and answered all questions related to lectures, courses, and career prospects in Biology. The committee was also accompanied by two Biology lecturers who helped provide scientific explanations to participants, making the Biology booth even more informative and credible.
As a token of appreciation for visitors, the Biology Study Program provided free vouchers specifically for participants who registered that day. This program attracted many students to learn more about the New Student Admissions (PMB) process. Equally unique, every visitor who stopped by and asked questions also received free vegetables, an environmentally friendly gimmick that made the Biology booth even more attractive and left a warm and welcoming impression.
Overall, the series of events for the New Student Admissions Launch and the 2025 Education Seminar were a huge success. The Biology Study Program's presence at the expo and bazaar not only introduced the world of Biology in an engaging and educational way, but also demonstrated student unity, faculty support, and creativity in welcoming prospective new students.
