Lamongan, August 19, 2025 – The Biology Study Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan (UMLA) conducted an internal Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of the Tridharma of Higher Education. This activity was directly carried out by the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) UMLA team, consisting of Mrs. Lilin Turlina, S.SiT., M.Kes., Head of LPM, and Mrs. Ayu, Secretary of LPM.
In the field of education, the Monev team assessed several key aspects, including curriculum compliance with applicable standards, assessment standards, teaching preparation, lecturer and student attendance, as well as student academic performance. This evaluation aimed to ensure that the learning process runs in accordance with quality standards and supports the achievement of graduate competencies.
In addition, the Monev activity also covered the fields of research and community service. The LPM team reviewed the alignment of programs with the research and community service roadmap, the implementation of research and service activities, and identified challenges as well as supporting factors faced by both lecturers and students.
Head of the Biology Study Program, M. Ainul Mahbubillah, S.Si., M.Si., expressed his gratitude and appreciation for this activity. He emphasized that internal Monev is highly beneficial for improving the quality and performance of the Biology Study Program, especially in preparing for the upcoming accreditation process.
Meanwhile, Head of LPM UMLA, Mrs. Lilin Turlina, S.SiT., M.Kes., gave high appreciation to the Biology Study Program, which became the first study program to be monitored this year. According to her, the Biology Study Program has demonstrated good readiness with complete documentation and is considered well-prepared for external accreditation with the Independent Accreditation Agency for Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences (LAM-SAMA).
With this Monev activity, it is expected that the Biology Study Program of UMLA will become more confident in enhancing the quality of education, research, and community service, thereby contributing more significantly to the advancement of science and community development.
