Lamongan, September 2, 2025 – The Biology Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan successfully held its Student Orientation Period (Mastama) with solemnity and joy.

The event opened with a warm welcome from the Head of the Biology Study Program, Mr. M. Ainul Mahbubillah, S.Si., M.Sc., who delivered a welcome and motivational speech to the new students. Next, Mr. Muhammad Badrut Tamam, S.Pd., M.Sc., as the advisor of the Biology Student Association Nelumbo, introduced the student organization, which serves as a platform for self-development for Biology students.

On the occasion, Ms. Putri Ayu Ika Setiyowati, S.Si., M.Sc., explained the lecture system, while Dr. Rofiatun Solekha, S.Pd., M.Sc., also provided important guidance regarding the academic activities the new students will undertake.

The event was further enlivened by creative cheer performances from each new student group. The best performances received prizes as a token of appreciation. Furthermore, the new students were also taken on a tour of the Biology Study Program's laboratory facilities, including the Biology Laboratory, Microbiology Laboratory, and Chemistry Laboratory.

As a memorable first experience, the new students practiced using microscopes to identify specimens, guided by the assigned committee members. This activity was met with enthusiasm, as evidenced by the eagerness of the new students in participating in all the events.

With the implementation of the Biology Study Program's Mastama, it is hoped that new students will be more motivated and prepared to embark on their academic journey at the University of Muhammadiyah Lamongan with enthusiasm.
