Lamongan, October 11, 2025 — Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan (UMLA) held its 7th Diploma and Bachelor's Graduation Ceremony on Saturday (11/10) at the UMLA Dome. A total of 800 graduates participated in the series of events, including 10 students from the Biology Undergraduate Program.

This emotional moment also marked the end of the students' academic journey and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. At the ceremony, Tri Indah Wahyuni ​​Latifa, a Biology undergraduate student, had the honor of delivering a speech on behalf of all the graduates.

In her speech, Tri Indah emphasized that graduation is not just a ceremony to confer degrees, but a form of appreciation for the long journey they have undertaken. "The toga we wear today is a symbol of the courage to dream, the patience to wait, and the determination to tread the winding path," she said.

She also revealed that behind the graduates' smiles lies a difficult struggle. Many have to move far from their families, work while studying, or face various limitations throughout their studies. "This journey hasn't been easy, but our parents' prayers and belief in keeping going have kept us going until we reach this point," she added.

Tri Indah also expressed special gratitude to her parents, especially her mother, Isrotun Khasanah, who always provided prayers and encouragement. "My mother's words, 'It's not easy, son, but I'm sure you can do it,' have been my greatest strength," she said, her voice trembling.

She also expressed her appreciation to her lecturers and fellow students who have been an integral part of her learning process. "Thank you, lecturers, for your patient guidance, and to my friends who have become a second family during my studies," she said.

Concluding her speech, Tri Indah encouraged the graduates to make the post-graduation period a time for real community service. "Let's bring our knowledge to the community and maintain our integrity as educated individuals," she said.

The graduation ceremony took place solemnly and full of emotion, becoming a historic moment for the extended family of Muhammadiyah University of Lamongan in producing graduates who are knowledgeable, moral, and ready to serve the nation.
